The Ultra City
A Fable of the Urban Future

Once upon a time, there was a city.
Then another.
Then another…
Eventually, they merged, blended together, lost themselves in one another so entirely that it was impossible to tell where one ended and another began.
Soon enough, the cities were no more.
In their stead, something new had emerged : the Ultracity.
The Ultracity is an illustrated fable dealing with questions of technology, big data, and artificial intelligence in the context of urban-planning and architecture. Depicting an infinite and seemingly utopian city, it examines the role of architects and planners in a world of automated construction, mass analytics, and endless feedback loops : a not-too-distant future.
